So I’m setting myself up for the shit that’s going to be coming out of my head and onto the keys this week, with this blog.
I think sometimes I come off like an asshole, a loud mouth and a real son of a bitch.
I’m actually pretty nice, I just have a low tolerance for bad behavior and unlike most; I call it when I see it. That’s how people learn. Not that I’m god, but whatever.
It says in my bio that I have a crooked halo. And that halo is hanging on by a horn. I’d like to think of myself as half and half. Half “angel” (good) and half “devil” (bad). I walk the line between the two now a days. Like a piece of bruised fruit.
Because I have both sides, it means I’ve seen both sides of things. Walked both paths. I can spot an asshole just like I can tell if a person is truly good or not. I see it as an advantage.
It also means I don’t turn the other cheek but at the same time I’ll give to the poor. The call-it-as-I-see-it, dick head donates to injured farm animal charities and sticks up for old people getting yelled at in Whole Foods (that story is for later this week).
I’m a champ in relationships and to my friends, mess with them and you get my pointy stick. And god forbid somebody tries to get one over on me. That’s where the horns come in handy. You can’t snake a snake. The halo keeps me from being a criminal and a bully.
I hate bullies. They get the horns.
I don’t know how or why I got blessed with this half and half nature, but it’s what I’m stuck with so I might as well make the most of it and stay walking that line in between the two sides. Utilizing them when I need them.
So there’s my precursor for this week’s writing. Warning: Halo hanging on by horn - may seem mean; but has redeeming qualities.
And I’ve never said I was the good guy…or the bad guy for that matter.
