Assumptions. I’ve written about them before and today seems to be yet another day to reflect upon them.
They’re going to happen and the subject correlates with yesterday’s post.
The issue seems, when can one get pissed about them?
I guess through free will and conscious thought, we can’t help thinking and reacting how we do; but is there a need to hang onto that irritation?
Yesterday, obviously I was pissed off at being lumped into the needy girl category and I woke up today, still harboring resentment.
Now that person wasn’t trying to be an asshole, they were trying to keep my feelings from being hurt. Not everybody has my take on feelings and commitment, so without explanation, how are people to know?
And that’s what assumptions are based on; what people think based on little or no explanation.
So, explain and keep an open mind. Don’t get pissed until the assumption happens again, after you’ve explained it.
But assumptions get our back up! They make us anxious, especially when we count on them happening.
The best thing to do I’d say is to not take those made of us to heart and to try to keep a open mind and not make them of other people. Live in the now and just keep going forward. (Easier said than done, Bitch… I know).
Just say fuck it to trying to figure it all out; we’ll all be better off.
